Konoba 85, is a true gem that captures the essence of traditional Croatian cuisine. But tradition is evident not only in our cooking, but also in the decor of our restaurant and reception. Local stone, motifs like fishes, seashells, and nets are the main accent in our design. If you take a moment and look closely, you will also notice authentic and rare Pag lace framed on the walls alongside photos that showcase the richness of the island’s history. These photos, taken by our ancestor Radoslav Dabo, a renowned island artist and the first photographer on the island, capture traditional island life in the early 20th century, including grape harvesting, tuna fishing and sheepherding. In a way, you can experience an exhibition in our restaurant and immerse yourself in the history and culture of Novalja.
After savoring our authentic Croatian cooking and unique space and atmosphere, set off for a stroll around the city. Relish the moment on this magical place, enjoy a panoramic view of the sunset over the Adriatic Sea, feel the energy of the people relaxing on the city promenade, and browse the surrounding shops, cafes and bars offering the taste of the Croatian seaside.
